Hard Candy So Baked Bronzer - "Hula Hula"

After I purchased this bronzer in the shade "Tropics", I just had to go back to Wal-Mart to get one more!  A week later, after I purchased the shade "Tropics", I went back to my local Wal-Mart to get this bronzer in the shade "Hula Hula".  I read so many positive reviews about it, so I had to give it a try.  It is a nice soft tan shade, with warm undertones.  It's the shade down from "Tropics", and is less intensive, and I love both of them.  It looks soft and natural and applies so easily.  I have not had any issues with irritation or break-outs so far, so that is a plus for me.  It's nice to see that Hard Candy is back, and at an affordable price too; around $9.00 USD.

Physician's Formula Baked Bronzer - "Baked Tan"

I am very pleased with this product. It gives a nice, natural glow and blends easily. It gives a matte finish, with a subtle glow (not glittery at all). I tan in the Summer and I can even wear it as an all-over face color; it gives nice coverage too! The price is pretty good for .35 oz. of product. Also, it has a nice, light fragrance (not heavy perfume smelling), which I love. This powder looks strikingly similar to MACs mineralized powders, and is made in Italy as well (hmmm).  If I am in a hurry, I just brush on some of this bronzer, apply some mascara and lip gloss and I am good to go!  On the down side, they could improve the design on the compact so that it opens and closes a little better.

Hard Candy So Baked Bronzer - "Tropics"

I was so excited to hear that Wal-Mart now carries Hard Candy Cosmetics! After reading some great reviews on the So Baked Bronzer, I just had to check it out! I love "Tropics", it's a beautiful warm shade. I had such a difficult time trying to decide which shade to try. I love the packaging; really eye-catching and girlie! I also love, love, love that this product has no strong perfumes! Yay! Also, you get a large, .44 oz. of product for around $10.00, another yay for me! Another thing that I have noticed about this product is that it has very little, if any fallout, and all you need is one swipe on your bronzer brush; so, this will last me a while.  I also love that HC does not test on animals.

Prestige Fresh Glow Baked Mineral Blush - Peach

The shade "Peach" is very pretty and works well with light to medium skin tones. The finish is very "sheer" and has a nice "glow" (appropriately named). This blush is not deeply pigmented; however it gives a nice, warm and natural coverage and could even be used as a highlighter. This blush is not shimmery at all.   I am pleased with this purchase and I would recommend it. The only down side is that the size is a bit small (.05 oz.), (for around $8.00).  On the positive side, there is little, if any fallout, so I'm sure this will last me a while!  Overall, it's a very nice blush, when you are looking for something that is subtle.

Laura Mercier Mineral Powder

This is quite possibly the best mineral powder make-up on the market.  After numerous attempts to find the best mineral foundation, my search is finally over!

Now, it takes a product to "really" impress me in order for me to write about it, and everything I say in my reviews are my honest opinions, and from my own personal experience.

After trying several mineral make-up brands, I kept stumbling over formula's that just not work for my skin, or did not give me the finish or coverage that I wanted, until I took a gamble with Laura Mercier's Mineral Powder.  After the very first application, I was impressed!  The finish was amazing and "flawless", just like Laura Mercier claims.

I have been using this mineral powder for almost two years now and I still love it, and that is saying a lot about a product!  I can honestly say that the look and texture of my skin has actually improved since using this product and I have received numerous compliments, and you know that you are doing something good for your skin, when people give you a nice compliment, especially when it comes from my Husband!  Sorry honey, I had to give you props, lol.

Okay, enough about me, now onto the product itself.  Laura Mercier's Mineral Powder is finely-milled, and when you apply it, it is not like anything have ever used before; because it applies so effortlessly, it takes very little time to apply.  I use both the loose and the pressed form (thank you, Laura for the pressed compact).  You only need a very small amount on your brush when applying (its better to start with less, then build up to the coverage desired).  I love the compact, because I carry it in my purse for touch-ups.

This mineral powder contains pearl powder; is oil-free, and contains a SPF of 15, which I love.  This mineral powder will make you soft and glowy! -- (not really a word, sorry).  It is difficult to describe the finish this powder gives...it "is" what Laura "says": Flawless!!  You will look as though you are walking around in candlelight!

A lot of Women have said that the "pressed" form is too concentrated, and I have found that you only need to dab a small amount onto your brush, then apply.  If you use the sponge, you probably won't get the look you are trying to achieve, and since this powder is so finely-milled, you don't need very much at all.

The Laura Mercier brand is simply amazing; I love all of her products.  This was the very first product that I purchased from the line and I don't know why I never tried this brand before.  It's so exciting to try a new cosmetic line and be pleasantly surprised too!

Did I mention the value for your money?  The loose mineral powder is a generous 9.6 grams of product and the pressed powder is 8.1 grams!  This mineral powder will last a very long time--I still have a lot left!  So, the price of $35 USD is well worth it.
