Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Colour "Sand Glow"

Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Colour "Sand Glow" --  I could not wait to try one of these!  I settled on the shade "Sand Glow" (taupe w/gold), which I thought would compliment my hazel eyes.  This is a very creamy, but long-wearing eye color, and is so easy to just apply and blend and go!  LM just introduced a couple of new shades for Spring/Summer 2013 and I have my eye on the "Orchid" or "Amethyst" (next time).  There is no scent either, which I love.  I highly recommend this product--the colors are so gorgeous; you will have a hard time deciding!  Made in Italy.

Napoleon Perdis Devine Goddess Lipstick "Athena"

Napoleon Perdis Devine Goddess Lipstick "Athena" -- I've never purchased anything from Napoleon Perdis.  Lipsticks usually seem to be a good starting point when introducing yourself to a new line.

The packaging is simply lovely from the box to the lipstick case itself.  I love the clear lipstick case and how you can actually see the "true" color of the lipstick at the bottom of the tube.  There is no heavy perfume scent however, it does have a mild "waxy" smell.

The color "Athena" is a beige-nude and it appears to have a slight frost to it, but you can't actually see it when applied.

From what I read, these lipsticks come in different finishes and there is no indication on the packaging what finish it actually is, so it gets confusing.  I found out that this one is "very" sheer; and unfortunately it is way too sheer and pale for my complexion.  It was not exactly what I was hoping for so this one will have to go back :(

You can see what I mean about how "sheer" this lipstick is; it's almost unnoticeable.  Also, you can see some micro-glitter in there, but there is hardly any pigmentation--this was a "miss" for me :(

Lancome L'Absolu Rouge Replenishing & Reshaping Lipcolor "Rose Crystal"

Lancome L'Absolu Rouge Replenishing & Reshaping Lipcolor SPF 12 "Rose Crystal" --  I fell in love with this color and just happened to grab the last one at Nordstrom, yay!  This is a gorgeous warm-rosey-mauve shade with some shimmer.

I used to be an all-out "Lancome Girl", but have strayed away in the past decade, but now I'm back!  I love the sleek packaging and beautiful lipstick case w/magnetic closure; it's so tres-chic!

This lipstick has the classic Lancome "rose" scent.  The formula is very creamy and has pretty good lasting-power.  And, I love the embossed rose on the bullet is SO pretty!

Dior Diorshow Brow Styler "Universal Brown"

Dior Diorshow Brow Styler "Universal Brown" --  After reading rave reviews about this brow pencil, I finally gave in and splurged.  First, the design is so chic; you twist the bottom to expose/retract the pencil (there is no cap).  On the opposite end there is a nice brush for grooming.

The color, "Universal Brown" is the perfect shade and suits ALL colors because you can build the intensity depending on how firm you press down.  Now, with that in mind be sure not to press too hard, because I did that and broke a little piece off (darn it).

I love how fine the pencil is and it really gives a defined yet natural-looking brow.  Now, this pencil is pricey, so I'm not sure if I would repurchase; well, at least not in a hurry.  All-in-all, wonderful product.  Made in Japan.

Dior Diorshow Brow Styler "Universal Brown" -- You can see how you can draw a fine line with one stroke, or deepen the color and intensity.

John Frieda "Volume Curls" deep shine silicone & tourmaline-ionic infused round brush

John Frieda Volume Curls round brush --  This round brush is fantastic!  I have fine, straight hair (but lots of it), and it tangles very easy and this brush makes blow-drying super easy.  This brush is infused with silicone and tourmaline, so it gives your hair shine, leaving it smooth and adding body.  I love the design of this brush and because of the ions, it dries my hair super-fast.  I use a ion dryer (different brand), which also helps to dry the hair quickly while adding shine and not damaging the hair.  I'm really glad I picked this up!  I recommend this brush if you have straight, fine, short-to-medium length hair.  I purchased this at Drugstore.com.

Shiseido Perfect Rouge Lipstick RD 732 "Blush"

Shiseido Perfect Rouge Lipcolor RD 732 "Blush" --  Please see review on PK 343 "Secret" for full description and review. This shade, RD 732 "Blush" is described as a natural, warm pink.  After I applied it, I discovered that this color was not for me.  I miss the original formula of Perfect Rouge.  This new formula is more "buttery" and while it has good pigmentation, it's not long-wearing.  If you don't want to wear a lipstick that you have to keep re-applying every couple of hours, then this lipstick won't be for you.

Shiseido Perfect Rouge Lipstick PK 343 "Secret"

Shiseido Perfect Rouge Lipstick in PK 343 "Secret" --  A lovely peachy/pink shade.  Almost reminds me of a salmon-pink, although Shiseido describes it as a subtle peach.

I originally purchased the Perfect Rouge back when it launched in 2009 and I have to say that they definitely changed the formula.  I kinda like the original formula better.  The new formula is very nice, don't get me wrong.  The color is very pigmented and the formula is very creamy however, the new formula feels more like a lip butter and when it dries, it leaves a soft stain on the lips.  Not really what I was looking for.

I actually tired a couple of shades, and had to return them.  I have an original formula, LE shade "799" which is a "Rose Bronze" (a Nordstrom exclusive), which is no longer available.  I have to say that I prefer the original formula because it was very creamy and long-lasting and moisturizing.  The color selection is fabulous though!

Almay Intense i-color Liquid Shadow + Color Primer "Hazel Eyes"AA

Almay Intense i-Color Liquid Shadow + Color Primer "Hazel Eyes" -- I saw this at my local CVS and thought about getting it for a couple of weeks.  I was kinda on the fence about it, but let me tell you, I love it!!  I purchased the shade for "Hazel Eyes" which is like a seafoam green.  I was originally going to get the plum shade which is for brown eyes, I believe, but I am so glad I got this one because the shade really compliments my Hazel eyes!  My husband even noticed my eyes right away and when that happens, you know it's got to be good!

This formula can be used as a liquid shadow or primer.  I wear it alone as an eyeshadow.  It's so easy to apply and it dries after a few seconds and wears ALL DAY long!!  After 10-hours, there was NO creasing or fading.  This shadow reminds me a lot of a liquid shadow that Revlon made back in the 90's.  The applicator makes it so easy to apply and you don't need very much.  You can just apply with the applicator and blend, but honestly, you really don't need to blend it in at all.  Fantastic product!  I'm going to get another shade soon!
