OPI Nail Lacquer "The Spy Who Loved Me"

I love this nail lacquer from OPI's James Bond Collection "The Spy Who Loved Me".  It's an absolutely gorgeous true-red shade which has micro-gold shimmer!  So pretty--such a beautiful color for the holidays!

Holiday Greeting Card from Clarins

I received a rather strange Christmas card from Clarins cosmetics.  I really don't know what to make of it and the artwork is kind of creeping me out!  LOL

Spongeables Pedi Scrub Foot Buffer

I absolutely love this product!  It's called "Spongeables", and what is it?  It's a cute pedi-scrub/foot buffer thingy that is infused with aromatherapy ingredients such as shea butter, lavender and tea tree oil.  One side is a sponge and when you add water, it makes a luxurious creamy lather for cleansing your foot and the other side has a scruby texture to buff and smooth away rough spots.  This little pedi scrub/foot buffer will leave your feet feeling smooth and invigorated and smelling fresh!  You can find this at CVS, Ulta and most drugstores.

Spongeables Pedi Scrub/Foot Buffer -- Try this!  Your feet will love you for it :)

Sally Hansen Lustre Shine Nail Color "Firefly 003"

Sally Hansen Lustre Shine Nail Color "Firefly 003"--This is a really unique nail lacquer, although I have to say that it's not one of my favorites.  The color "Firefly" is a very unusual color that changes color depending on the angle.  Looking at it straight-on, it appears like a coppery/bronze color.  When looking at it from an angle, it appears more green (you can see what I mean when you look at the bottle).  I picked this up at CVS and thought the price was a bit expensive at $8+.  Within a couple of days, it began to chip (even with base coat and top coat).

Sally Hansen Lustre Shine Nail Color "Firefly 003"--You can see why they named it "Firefly", because it looks like the colors of a fly!

A sample list of my "Best Of 2012"

I am loving Bobbi Brown's Long Wearing Gel Eye Liner in "Black Mauve".  This is definitely one of my fave's for 2012!

I am also in love with Sephora's Waterproof Eye Brow Pencil--it's very natural looking and long-wearing!

I've been using Bobbie Brown's Illuminating Bronzing Powder in "Bali Bronze"--it's become a staple for me.

And, also the Clarins Blush Prodige in "Soft Peach"--Girls, if you have not tried this blush yet, I highly recommend you go to your nearest Clarins counter and get one!  It applies sheer and gives such a natural finish--I love this blush!

Last, but not least is my beloved YSL Golden Pur Lipstick in "Rose".  These are just a sampling of my faves for 2012.  I will be working on by "Best Of for 2012" really soon!

Wishing all of you a very Happy Thanksgiving!

Tarte EmphasEYES Inner Rim Brightener

Tarte EmphasEYES Inner Rim Brightener--This is the very first product I have purchased from Tarte.  I have been looking for an eye pencil (brightener) to line my inner rims with and saw this being featured one night on QVC.  I have used some inner-rim pencils in the past that were "white", but this pencil is nice because it's a "nude" color and looks very natural.

I really like this pencil; it applies very smoothly and lasts for several hours.  This is a great pencil to use when you are doing a smoky eye.  I would not recommend using this inner rim brightener just on it's own as it will make you look kinda ghostly.  I will have to post a pic soon with me wearing it so you can see what I mean.  The Tarte line has some really amazing products and they are made with natural ingredients and are cruelty-free.

L'Oreal Infallible Eyeshadow "890 Bronzed Taupe"

L'Oreal Infallible Eyeshadow "890 Bronzed Taupe"--This eyeshadow formula has been out for a while however, I was reluctant to try it because I thought it would be like any other eyeshadow I already own.  WRONG.  This eyeshadow formula is quite different; it reminds me L'Oreals "HIP" line, which seems to be getting phased-out.  This is a "high-pigment" eyeshadow with shimmer.  The color I chose is "890 Bronzed Taupe", which is a beautiful bronze that has flecks of gold and green to which gives it that "taupe" hue.  I love how this shadow applies and I noticed that the more you blend it in, the more it becomes like a sheen of color--very pretty!  As far as the lasting power; it lasted a pretty good length of time.  However, I did notice that about after 8-hours the shadow started to fade and almost melt into my eyelids (I did not use a primer and I tend to have oily eyelids).

Now, this eyeshadow comes packaged a bit differently.  It's a loose powder that is "pressed" into the compact, but when you dab your eyeshadow brush into it, the shadow becomes "loose"--Kinda hard to explain, but it's really nice!

You can see how beautiful the shimmer is and the more you blend it in, the more of a sheen you get!  I really like this eyeshadow and I can't wait to try another color.

Revlon ColorStay Ultimate Suede Lipstick/Balm "015 Runway"

I was in ULTA just a few days ago and a new lippie caught my eye!  Revlon's NEW ColorStay Ultimate Suede--which applies like a Lip Balm however, it does something a bit different--it dries down like a Lip Stain!

First let me say that I love the packaging and the design of the balm itself which makes for an easy application.  I love how this formula applies and it is quite pigmented (due to the stain affect).  However, this does leave your lips feeling  a bit dry because of the stain.  The scent reminds me a lot of the ColorStay Mineral Lipglaze, which is not too offensive.

All-in-all, I really like this product however, I wish I had chosen a different shade.  The shade I chose is "015 Runway", which is a bronzey-beigey color which I felt would be a safe shade to try since this is a new lippie product, but I wish I had tried something more rosey-plummy.  This new lippie retails for $9.99 USD and I used my ULTA coupon and got $3.50 off, which was nice!  So, with that said, I will have to go back and try a different color.

LORAC, Hard Candy & Boots No7

I used an eyeshadow trio that came in one of my LORAC kits which I believe was Summer 2011.  I can't remember the name of the kit however, it came with two eyeshadow trios, bronzer, and a mascara I believe.  Anywho, one of the eyeshadow trios is called "Tempt Me".  Now at first, it looked like a bronze eyeshadow that I already had.  However, when I applied it, I really liked it -- it's a nice neutral brown-bronze with a pale gold highlighting shade which look quite nice together.  I also applied Hardy Candy So Baked Bronzer in "Tropics", and finished it off with Boots No7 Lip Liner in "Caramel" and Stay Perfect Lipstick in "Chinchilla"--which is one of my favorite lip colors; it's such a beautiful warm beige/neutral that goes with anything!  I love the Boots No7 Stay Perfect lipsticks and I wish they would come out with more colors!

EYES:  LORAC eyeshadow trio in "Tempt Me" (kit)--(Lorac.com, Sephora, ULTA); FACE:  Hard Candy So Baked Bronzer in "Tropics" (Wal-Mart); LIPS:  Boots No7 Lip Liner in "Caramel" and  Boots No7 Stay Perfect Lipstick in "Chinchilla" (Target)

OPI Nail Lacquer "Skinny Dip'n in Lake Michigan"

OPI Nail Lacquer "Skinny Dip'n in Lake Michigan"--I've had this shade for a while now.  It's not one of my go-to nail colors probably because it is such a pale peachy-pink and sheer finish, which makes it hardly noticeable.  I applied 3-coats to try and get more color.  It does have a nice shimmer when the light hits it.  I think this shade would look gorgeous on longer nails :)

Sephora, Bobbi Brown, Clarins, Boots No7 & NARS

Gosh, it's been quite a while since I've written on my blog.  This month has just zipped on by, and Halloween is only 2-days away, geesh!  Christmas is less than 2-months away, yikes!

I have been enjoying the new Sephora Collection Microsmooth Baked eyeshadow trio in "After Glow 04", and also their waterproof eyebrow pencil.  The eyeshadows can be worn dry or used wet for a more intense look--I like to use the darker shade wet as an eyeliner.  Very long-lasting and not too shimmery.  On my lips I used Boots No7 Lip Liner in "Caramel" (my go-to), with NARS lipstick in "Sexual Healing", which I just love!

On my face I used Maybelline concealer in "Radiant", Laura Mercier pressed mineral powder "Classic Beige", Bobbi Brown Bronzer in "Bali Brown", Clarins Rouge Prodige in "Soft Peach", and Clinique Matte pressed powder in "Transparent", and Urban Decay "De-Slick" setting spray (love this product); it sets my make-up and just makes everything look seamless;)

Lippie Combo: Boots No7 Wild Volume Lipstick "Ginger Mousse" w/Elizabeth Arden Lip Liner "Taupe"

I tried this lippie combo the other day and I was quite pleased with it.  Pictured here is Boots No 7 Wild Volume Lipstick in "Ginger Mousse" and Elizabeth Arden Lip Pencil in "Taupe"--this combo goes very well together.  The taupe lip pencil is a great nude/neutral that can be worn with so many lipsticks and/or glosses.  I love the Boots No 7 Wild Volume Lipstick in "Ginger Mousse"--it's a beautiful warm ginger with pearl finish.  Recently, I have noticed that my local Target is not restocking Boots No 7 cosmetics and I am beginning to wonder if they are going to stop carrying this line.  I sure hope not because they are the only retailer in the United States that carries the Boots No 7 line; at least in my area.

FOTD: Sephora, Bobbi Brown, Clarins, MAC, Chanel & YSL

Pictured here, I am wearing my usual Laura Mercier Pressed Mineral Powder "Classic Beige", along with YSL Touche Eclat (under eyes), Bobbi Brown Bronzer "Bali Brown", Clarins Blush Prodige "Soft Peach", MAC Prep + Prime finishing powder transparent (pressed), Sephora Eyeshadow trio "Afterglow 4", Revlon ColorStay Brow Brow Enhancer "Blackened Brown/Taupe", Cover Girl Lash Blast Fusion Mascara "Black", Clarins Lip Liner pencil "Bay Rose", and CHANEL Lip Gloss "Brilliance".

OPI Nail Lacquer: "Gouda Gouda Two Shoes"

OPI Nail Lacquer: "Gouda Gouda Two Shoes"--This color is kinda "so-so" for me; it's a  pinky-rosy-brownish shade with copper shimmer, although the shimmer is hardly recognizable, unless the light is hitting it.  I applied 2 coats and my Seche Vite top coat (best top coat, ever!) I don't particularly care for this shade as much as I thought I would however, it is a nice neutral shade.

Close Up:  OPI Nail Lacquer: "Gouda Gouda Two Shoes"--The shimmer is more noticeable when light hits it, otherwise, the color appears somewhat "flat".

Sephora Color Lip Last Lipstick "No. 3 Vintage Pink"

Sephora Color Lip Last Lipstick "No. 3 Vintage Pink"--I really like these new lippies!  I love how lightweight they feel on the lips and very moisturizing too, for a long-wearing lip color!  The shade "Vintage Pink" is a very wearable light brownish-pink with shimmer (soft shimmer).  It has a very smooth texture and has a nice fruity scent.  The scent/taste is not too overpowering.  Also, you could use a lip liner with the Lip Last, but it's really not necessary.  I must say that I have only recently been exploring the Sephora line of cosmetics and they have definitely been getting better.  I most certainly will be purchasing more shades!
Me, wearing Sephora Color Lip Last Lipstick "No. 3 Vintage Pink"--This is after about 5 HOURS or wear and still looks great!  I think wearing lip liner with this makes it last even longer :)

Another pic of me wearing Sephora Color Lip Last Lipstick "No. 3 Vintage Pink", but this time, I wore it with Clarins Lip liner in "Bay Rose".

Sephora Color Lip Last Lipstick "No. 3 Vintage Pink"--looks brighter than it actually is because of the flash.
Sephora Color Lip Last Lipstick "No. 3 Vintage Pink" (no flash)--looks kinda dark in this pic--it was a cloudy day today and could not get much natural light :(
