John Frieda Precision Permanent Foam Colour

I've been hearing about this new "foam" permanent hair color for a few months and decided to pick one up at my local ULTA store.  I chose the shade "Sheer Blonde - Extra Light Beige Blonde" (10B).  I had a $3.00 off coupon, so that was even more added incentive to try it.  I was using another brand in the same shade of color, so I was hoping that I would get similar results.  I took a chance on it, and was pleasantly surprised.

The package contains instructions, gloves, color, developer, after color conditioner and a bottle with foam dispenser, so there is nothing additional you need to purchase.  The instructions were easy to follow.  If you follow the steps, you will get the same results as shown on the instructions.

This foam hair color is so easy to use!  I just love it.  It is not messy or drippy at all and has a pleasant fragrance (no offensive odors).  You just shampoo and massage the foam until your hair is thoroughly saturated.  My hair is long (past my shoulders), and there was more than enough foam to saturate all of my hair.  The liquid in the bottle looks deceiving, but when you dispense the foam, it really makes a LOT of foam!

I also love how It rinses out so easily, and comes with a conditioner that leaves your hair soft and shiny and healthy.  Another thing that I love about this hair color is that it does not leave any residue around your hairline or on your skin and easily wipes away with a damp cloth/towel.

I have been using the John Frieda line for a couple of years now, and I am impressed with this new product as well.

I paid $12.99, retail at my local ULTA store, and had a coupon for $3.00 off, so not a bad deal at all.  It's much more affordable than visiting a salon and you still get professional-looking results!

The results are healthy-looking, natural and shiny hair.  This is my first application, so I will have to wait and see how long the color lasts.  I will definitely be using this hair color again the next time I color.  I highly recommend this product.

  1. I had read some reviews saying that the blonde shades turnned out to be VERY dark - even brown - how did your shade come out in terms of the actual color as compared to the box?
