NARS Sheer Lipstick, "Sexual Healing"
I kinda split-up with NARS for awhile, but now I am back and rediscovering his wonderful lippy's again!
I love NARS sheer lipsticks; they are so smooth and creamy and very pigmented, for a "sheer" formula. They feel so lightweight on the lips. The sheer formula comes in 29 beautiful shades, so you are sure to find the shade that is right for you!
I recently purchased "Sexual Healing" at my local Sephora store. Nars describes this shade as a "shimmering pink blossom". The color looks different depending on the lighting in the room. At one glance, it appeared more light and shimmery pink, and another glance/different lighting, it appeared more of a "soft, pinky-brown" with shimmer. It's so difficult to describe, yet so beautiful! This is a very unique color and that is one of the things that I love most about it.
Actually, I think I was really drawn to "Sexual Healing" because it reminds me a lot of a discontinued shade called "Tutti Frutti", that I think NARS has discontinued or maybe it was a LE, but I loved, LOVED that color. It was the prettiest soft lilac/mauve with frost and I loved to wear that one in the summer months. I miss it :(

NARS "Sexual Healing" has a lot of shimmer in it and that may turn some girls off. I actually think it's quite pretty. The more you layer-on the color, the more intense the shimmer becomes. I find that one light application is all you need. After the lipstick has set, the finish looks so gorgeous and glowy!
Actually, I had some other shades on my wish list. I was thinking that I would really like "Pago Pago" (new), which is described as a "shimmering pink", however, it seemed to be much lighter and more of a nude-pink to my eyes.
I was also considering "Roman Holiday", which is a pretty pastel-pink, but was much too bright for me.
I also wanted to check-out "Tzigane", (not even sure how you pronounce that one, lol)...which is described as a "pink-brandy" shade. My Sephora store did not have this shade probably due to the fact that it is a new shade. I will have to check back soon.
I am loving "Sexual Healing" and am very pleased with my choice. This shade will look incredible in the summer months!

ReplyDeleteSo nice to see a full face picture of someone wearing this! I don't have a local Sephora (or a local Nars counter) and this gives me a much better idea of what to expect than the online swatches. I think I'll be adding this to Sephora basket - thanks for the review and the photos! :)

ReplyDeleteI am Mariam used every single spell worker on the internet, spent untold amounts of money and discovered they are all fakes...i was the fool though; doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. In the end, I decided that I wanted a tarot reading to know what my future held for me; I contacted a woman who lives locally to me and she told me about a man named (priests olalude abija); he does not advertise on the internet, has another job for income, has no set prices, makes no false promises and refuses to help anyone that cannot be helped and even helps for free sometimes, he will give you proof before taking money. He is a wonderful man and he was the only person who actually gave me real results.
