Chanel Perfection Lumiere Velvet Makeup -- # 30 & 40 Beige

Chanel Perfection Lumiere Velvet Makeup --  #30 & 40 Beige -- I've had my eyes on this new foundation which gives a matte finish, so I got a couple of samples to try from the nice Chanel Sales Rep at Nordy's.  It looked like I could wear #30 or #40, but I think I could even wear the #50, especially during the summer months, when I am tan.

When I tried this foundation at the counter, I fell in love!  It's so smooth and gives your skin such a soft finish with a glow.  Plus, I always love that rose scent that Chanel uses!

I have oily/combination in the skin and my skin tends to be more oily in the summer months, and I also live in South Florida (heat and humidity), so I usually stick with a mineral powder foundation, but decided to check this one out, since it is lightweight and provides a matte finish.

What I love about Chanel is that they give such a good choice of shades, so it's not too hard to find the one that is right for you!

This formula gives a sheer finish, although very lovely.  If you have a lot of imperfections you want to cover up, this may not work for you on it's own, but you could apply a finishing powder over for added coverage, if you wish.

I know it's very hard to tell from pictures, but here it is blended on my hand -- you can see how sheer it is, but you can see the soft, matte finish it gives.  Very nice!
