Rouge d'Armani Lasting Satin Lipcolor "605"

I've wanted to try the Rouge d'Armani Lasting Satin Lip colors for some time now and finally picked-up a tube recently at Saks. Every time I would see an Armani cosmetic counter, I would usually just take a glance and walk-by. The lipsticks are classified by "numbers", which I find confusing when cosmetic companies do that. I don't mind the number; however I prefer to have the "name" on the label as well.

After doing some online research, I figured out the different shades. I read a lot of positive reviews on these lip colors and finally took the plunge and tried one! I chose the plum shade of "605". This is a "satin" finish. I always tend to go towards shades with "shimmer" in it as I love the dimension it gives to the lips. This satin finish is quite nice and will look gorgeous with a golden gloss on top.

This shade was introduced last year and is now a part of the permanent Armani line. This is a cool mauve-pink color that is very wearable; however, I would have liked something a little warmer for my skin tone. It is a very lovely shade, nonetheless.

I have to say, I found myself kinda confused on what shade to buy because so many of them looked alike; which is a good thing because it will appeal to a broad range of skintones. There are nudes, browns, pinks, reds and plums. This lipstick comes in satin, matte and shimmer formulas. These lipsticks are very pigmented yet very creamy, which is very nice to have in a lippy.

The packaging is quite beautiful and I love the "magnetic" closure; very nice! All-in-all, it is a nice plum shade and I think I will keep it in my collection.
