Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Ultra Lipstick: "Honeysuckle" & Rose Aurora"

I saw these new Elizabeth Arden lippies last year when they came out and went to my local EA counter to swatch a few.  They seemed really nice and creamy; however, I just did not need a new lippy at the time and/or new color.  I finally took the plunge and decided to try "Honeysuckle", which is a beautiful warm honey with golden frost.  Here is some pics, with lighting and in natural light:

The other shade I just had to try was the new shade for Spring/Summer 2012: "Rose Aurora", which comes in it's own unique packaging to distinguish it from the permanent line.

The "Rose Aurora" lipstick case is a gorgeous rose-gold (read description below) and the box is certainly just as pretty; with pink peonies/roses (my fave) and green (another fave color of mine)...so girly!  Me loves!  This lipstick would make a wonderful gift for that special woman in your life (Mom, Grandma, Sister, Aunt or a special friend).  The case is truly a work of art!

Okay, back to my story.  So, I actually purchased "Honeysuckle", first and had been eyeing-up the "Rose Aurora", then the next day, I decided to run back to Dillard's to get the "Rose Aurora", since they only had a handful left in stock, and it is a LE.  Kinda funny story, but I ran into Dillard's to pick this up, then we had a severe thunderstorm that was passing over us and I got stuck at the Mall (not a bad thing actually), but the power was going off and on, and I had other things to get done that day.  But, it was all worth it, for "Rose Aurora"!

Also, after another blogger, named "Tammy" at http://amominredhighheels.com/close-rose-aurora-elizabeth-arden told me I should run and pick-up "Rose Aurora" because it is the most beautiful neutral shade of pink/rose and gold--this was a MUST for me, and so I did.  Thank You, Tammy!  BTW, please do check out her website, she has some really good reviews on there and she is a super-nice gal.

In conclusion, I love these lipsticks very much!  They are so smooth and creamy and left my lips feeling moisturized for several hours.  Keep in mind that these lippies are not very pigmented or opaque--I would say they give more of a sheer color and sheen; however, they are quite long-lasting.

Also, they are "fragrance-free", as far as I could tell.  No chemical or perfume taste whatsoever.

The packaging is SO beautiful.  The lipstick case is a beautiful gold color, embossed with the EA iconic "Red Door"--so exquisite!  What is not to love about this lippie?

Just for comparison:  On the left is EA Ceramide Ultra Lipstick in "Rose Aurora", and on the right is YSL Rouge Pur Couture Golden Lustre in "Rose Boreale #107" (Fall 2011).  The more I looked at the "Rose Aurora", the more it reminded me of my YSL "Rose Boreale".  I am always drawn to pretty rose colors, so it is no surprise that I love the EA "Rose Aurora" too!  They look strikingly similar, although the YSL leans a bit more on the warm side.  Both formulas are uniquely different and I love them both!
